Innis Arden Kitchen & Family Room Remodel

The kitchen and family room spaces were the last two areas to be remodeled in this 1960s era home. A dark and stylistically outdated kitchen was expanded to incorporate an adjacent utility room and we replaced a series of smaller windows and doors with a large sliding door to connect the space to the expansive view while solving previously obstructed circulation by the sitting area. The kitchen has been designed for serious cooking and has four work zones—each defined by a sink or stove. A custom window backsplash at the south-facing wall counter brings daylight to the countertop, while preserving privacy.
